Owner & Blonde Specialist.
Tara has always had a passion for hair styling. Beginning at the young age of 16, Tara has ambitiously pursued the most up-to-date color and style training, traveling from coast to coast to the most coveted seminars. Tara is a Redken Certified Hair Colorist, giving her the knowledge to custom blend hair color, so no two colors are the same. Receiving her Redken Design Certification has further equipped her with the most complimentary cutting and styling techniques for every texture. Tara is also a Certified Ouidad Curly Hair Expert, so curly girls feel confident when she cuts and styles their hair.
While Tara is known for her hand-blended colors and customized, easy to maintain haircuts, she is also a great choice for a special occasion formal style or supplementing hair with lush extensions. With over 20 years of proven experience, guests are in expert hands with Tara. She is passionate about blondes and is our resident blonde specialist!

Tara and I started our journey together over fifteen years ago at my very first salon, Planet Hair, where we worked side by side for ten years. After a successful decade there, we continued on our journey together as I opened Color Bar 51 in 2010. I remember saying to my husband, “Tara’s career is on fire”! She went from being a sought after stylist to having absolutely no openings for weeks. She continued to get better and more talented as time passed. Tara soon became my Director of Education and is responsible for all of the classes for Color Bar 51. Her insatiable palate for education is contagious in our salons! I have had the distinct pleasure of seeing Tara blossom from a student into a mentor for all of our stylists. She has grown in to an amazing, creative colorist and styling guru right before my eyes. It is with great pleasure and gratitude that I now call her my business partner, as we begin our newest endeavor at ‘Tangled Up’ in West End!

Pulling inspiration from the latest trends, marrying them with timeless techniques and tailoring a unique & customizable look, Charlie believes that each guest’s hair journey should be a complete original, while enhancing their own beautiful features. Understanding the science of maintaining the health and longevity of your hair, Charlie has a passion for brightening blondes, placing highlights, enriching and formulating color treated hair, giving fresh cuts and bomb blowouts. He also enjoys barbering; men’s cuts, beard trims, tapers, fades, and scalp massages. Fun-loving, optimistic, hardworking and committed to continual education improving his craft, Charlie will go above and beyond to ensure that your experience is personalized and pleasurable from start to finish

Hello Everyone! My name is Ciara. For as long as I can remember, I have always had an interest and a love for all things hair. I knew at a young age that being a hairstylist was my career path in life and something that I would love doing for the rest of my life. I started hair styling in Northern New Jersey, in the area where I grew up, after receiving my license in August 2022. I worked as an assistant for a couple of years learning and expanding my knowledge of styling, updos, and coloring techniques before becoming a stylist. I joined Tangled Up Hair Studio in June 2023 and instantly felt like I found my second home. My specialties include styling hair such as updos for special events as well as blowouts. I am constantly learning new and unique updos to add to my collection and love seeing the smile on my clients’ faces when they see their finished look. I am also skilled and confident in cutting and coloring hair. I am so excited to be a part of Tangled Up Hair Studio and cannot wait to continue my hair styling journey.
